Because we care about the world we are leaving behind, the Uniforest forestry mechanization is constructed from materials that can be recycled in up to 99-%. Energy efficiency and BIO oils, used for the machine work are further reasons that support sustainable usage.
Which firewood processor should I choose?
When purchasing the firewood processor, your main question should be how often will you use it. For everyday use, the machines with the circular saw (models TITAN 53/40 PREMIUM and TITAN 40/20 PREMIUM) are a better choice due to lower maintenance costs in comparison to the chainsaw bar. The circular saw cuts the logs faster and is more resistant to the irregularities in the wood.
However, if you prefer a lighter machine for occasional use, the TITAN 34/20J STANDARD is most friendly for occasional users as it can be operated with a Joystick and cuts with the strong harvester bar. For a more affordable price option, there is also a TITAN 34/20 STANDARD without the joystick.
Why is the TITAN 53/40 Premium (TITAN 40/20 Premium) eco-friendly?
The TITAN 53/40 Premium (TITAN 40/20 Premium) firewood processor cuts the logs with a 100cm wide Widia circular saw. The circular saw is resistant to irregularities in the wood as its serrated part is made of carbide solids.
The circular saw requires less maintenance: one sharpening of the saw blade is sufficient to produce more firewood in comparison to a chainsaw bar. Less wear is caused by the particles of sand or gravel in the logs. Apart from that, the circular saw doesn’t need to be lubricated with oil, but it is necessary for the chainsaw. When using a chain the oil can mix with the sawdust, making it no longer usable as a side product. Chain lubrication requires over 50 litres of oil per month when using the full machine capacity. The TITAN 53/40 Premium (TITAN 40/20 Premium) also saves you time and money by cutting with the circular saw.
Can the telescopic lifting table be mounted to the firewood processor after the assembly?
No, telescopic lifting table can only be integrated to the firewood processor during the assembly of the machine. After the machine is finished, it is no longer possible.
Does the firewood processor come with wheels?
The firewood processors TITAN 40/20 Premium and TITAN 53/40 Premium are also available with wheels. Other TITANs are not available with wheels.
How long is the conveyor belt on the firewood processor?
The conveyor belt is 5m long.
What kind of splitting knife is used in the firewood processor?
The new TITAN 53/40 premium has an integrated hydraulically adjustable 2/4/8/18-way splitting knife. All other firewood processors, like the TITAN 40/20 premium, the TITAN 43/20 and the TITAN 43/20J come with one splitting knife of your choice (2-4, 2-6 or 2-8). For the latter three, there is also a 12-way knife available as optional equipment.
Firewood processor with the circular saw or with the chainsaw bar?
When purchasing the firewood processor, your main question should be how often will you use it. For everyday use, the machines with the circular saw (models TITAN 53/40 PREMIUM and TITAN 40/20 PREMIUM) are a better choice due to lower maintenance costs in comparison to the chainsaw bar. Apart from that, the circular saw cuts the logs faster and is more resistant to the irregularities in the wood.
However, if you prefer a lighter machine for occasional use, the TITAN 43/20J STANDARD is most friendly for occasional users as it can be operated with a Joystick and cuts with the strong harvester bar. For a more affordable price option, there is also a TITAN 43/20 STANDARD without the joystick.
What is BoomSpeed?
The BoomSpeed function shortens the splitting cycle while not changing the maximum possible force. A special solution for the cylinder and additional valves allow faster oil flow and a higher speed of the empty or less loaded plate. A shorter splitting cycle also means better energy efficiency, increased productivity of the machine and its operator.
Why do log splitters have an iron cast pump?
Using an iron cast pump for the log splitter means quieter operation and a longer service life.
What is Autospeed?
As the name itself says, Autospeed stands for automatic speed regulation. The axe paces faster towards the log, but at the point of contact, it adopts the splitting speed according to the type and structure of the wood. After the log is split, the axe returns quickly back to the starting position.
Does the log splitter have a log table?
All log splitter models are available with a single or double log table as optional equipment. The single log tables only offer one hight to place the log on, but the double log tables can be set to two different hights.
Can the log table and axe of the log splitter get damaged?
Uniforest log splitters have an integrated 3-phase shut-down mechanism to prevent log table or axe damage. The protection mechanism stops the axe before it hits the log table or the bottom of the log splitter.
Is working with the log splitter safe?
TITANIUM and MAGNUM log splitters have all safety components in accordance to the European and other global safety standards.
Can the log splitter be attached to the front of the tractor?
We offer 2 models of log splitters that can be attached to the front of the tractor: TITANIUM 23 CDF (21t splitting force) and TITANIUM 27 CDF (26t splitting force).
Do log splitters have wheels?
Log splitters TITANIUM TR with a petrol engine have wheels and can be attached to a vehicle with a maximum load of 750 kg.
How do I upkeep the winches with chains and chain links?
The chain has to be lubricated every 200 operating hours with any special chain spray lubricant resistant to high temperature as the grease can come into the friction linings of the clutch.
Firstly, remove the PTO protection (make sure to place it back again when you finish lubricating the chain). Clean the chain before lubricating it. Avoid applying lubricant to the places where it could spill to the clutch from.
If the lubricant gets spilled into the friction linings of the clutch, the pulling force is reduced and the clutch plates have to be replaced.
The pulling force of the winch is too weak (not pulling properly).
Check the oil quantity and look for leakage in the hydraulic system. If you notice an oil leak, it is possible that the friction lining is stained and needs to be replaced. It can also be greasy due to the improper greasing of the chain.
If the friction lining is clear and dry, it has to be grinded and all other iron sliding surfaces have to be cleaned of the rust.
The slipping of the clutch also lowers the system pressure. There are several possible reasons for a too low pressure; deficient pump, air intake in the sucking part of the system, discharge valve etc. We suggest you to locate your local service representative in our wide distribution network.

The brake doesn’t hold or it loosens.
If the brake is loose, the operator should reset it. Correcting the length of the braking belt can increase the braking force, but it must not be done beyond the normal pulling of the rope out of the drum. Water and dust are not as harmful as the mud. The latter is greasy and thus can cause the brake to let the drum slide instead of keeping it firm. When the mud dries, the brake should grip again. The mud can be washed from the inside of the winch. Point a gentle stream of clean water through the wire replacement opening and the dirt should be washed out through the dirt drain at the bottom of the winch.
It is also possible, that the braking belt is greasy, deformed or has another mechanical malfunction on the braking system or hydraulic.
More about the machine errors can be found in the user manual.
The wire rope cannot be pulled out of the drum, the unwinding device is not working or is working poorly.
The unwinding system is working properly when the wire rope can be pulled out of the drum manually if the brake is open. If the system is not working in such a way, then it is possible that the wire is wound crosswise, damaged (knots) or the pressure of the upper rollers is too strong. apart from that, the brake or prebrake can be fastened too strongly.
More about the machine errors can be found in the user manual.
What is the hand-fastened screw with a safety nut used for?
This is the prebrake which prevents unwanted rotations of the drum. In case the drum rotates after we stop unwinding, the wire rope can loosen or even cause a jam in the hydraulic system. Due to the load weight the wire rope gets stuck between the turns and get deformed. That can cause compression or breaking damages. The prebrake is set by the winch user as needed. The proper set-up allows an easy manual pull of the wire rope out of the drum and makes the drum stop when we stop unwinding. When pulling a heavier burden, the prebrake has to be tightened.
More about the machine errors can be found in the user manual.
The winch is inactive!
Check the tractor plug in. The minimum voltage is 10V (unloaded 12.2V) and also, check the polarity. When impossible to determine whether the plug is working, try to plug the winch into another tractor.
The electronic control turns on the green LED light. If the light isn’t on, the fuse should be inspected and if necessary, also replaced by the back-up fuse in the electronics box.
Check the cables of the limit switch and connectors on the valves.
If the pressure is too low, check the pump chain, oil quantity and pump operation.
More about the machine errors can be found in the user manual.
How do I check the oil quantity in the hydraulic system?
The oil quantity is checked the same way for all winches: with the dipstick on the reservoir plug or through the oil control window. The oil has to be checked when the pressure is 0bar. This is done by turning off the PTO shaft and pressing the functions on cable console or remote control. With every press, the pressure should drop.
